推介原因 WHY IT MATTERS

香港著名填詞人鄭國江創作逾二千首歌詞，是香港粵語流行曲黃金時代不可或缺的名字。Touch Gallery 現正呈獻其水墨個人展《幸運是我》，展出他歷年精選書法及水墨作品。這亦是繼2016年於銅鑼灣時代廣場舉行「藝園漫步」後，他相隔十年的首個公開個人畫展。

Renowned Hong Kong lyricist Cheng Kok Kong has written more than 2,000 songs, making him an integral voice of Cantopop’s golden era. Presented by Touch Gallery, Lucky Am I brings together a selection of his calligraphy and ink paintings created over the years. It is also his first public solo exhibition in a decade, following A Stroll in the Art Garden at Times Square, Causeway Bay, in 2016.

《風繼續吹》的無奈、《似水流年》的感嘆、《分分鐘需要你》的真摯，以及《隨想曲》的豁達，早已成為不同世代香港人的集體記憶。然而，《幸運是我》把焦點從我們熟悉的歌詞移到鄭國江的另一種創作語言——書法與水墨，讓觀眾重新認識這位陪伴香港樂壇多年的創作者。

The longing of Wind Blows On, the wistfulness of Years Flow Like Water, the tenderness of Need You Every Minute and the philosophical ease of Capriccio have accompanied generations of listeners. Lucky Am I, however, shifts our attention from Cheng Kok Kong’s familiar lyrics towards another side of his creative practice—calligraphy and ink painting.

2️⃣ 筆墨即心跡：不拘於規矩的書法 Traces of the Mind: Calligraphy Beyond Convention

鄭國江的書法並非追求刻板遵循規矩的工整筆法，而更接近文人以筆墨抒懷的傳統。策展人伍常以「筆墨即心跡」形容他的創作，他的書寫不只是文字的排列，也是個人性情與生活感悟留下的痕跡。

Rather than adhering rigidly to academic conventions, Cheng’s calligraphy embodies a literati spirit in which brush and ink become “traces of the mind”. Writing is therefore not merely about forming characters, but becomes a personal means of expression.

3️⃣ 花鳥人物皆入畫：文人的生活雅趣 A Literati Eye: From Animals to Landscapes

除了書法，展覽亦呈現題材多樣的水墨作品，從花鳥、人物、動物延伸至山水，都流露出鄭國江對生活中的觀察與雅趣。其中《最愛》描繪一隻伏在魚缸上的貓，《魚與熊掌》則以鮮紅花朵、游魚與墨色枝葉構成畫面。

Beyond calligraphy, the exhibition also presents a diverse range of ink paintings, spanning flowers and birds, figures, animals, and landscapes, all reflecting Cheng Kok Kong’s keen observation of everyday life and refined sense of humour. Among them, Favourite depicts a cat perched above a fish tank, while Fish and Bear’s Paw combines vivid red blossoms, swimming fish, and expressive ink foliage.

4️⃣ 詞中有畫，畫中有歌 Where Lyrics Become Images, and Images Echo with Song

鄭國江的創作最有趣之處，在於歌詞與水墨從來不是兩個完全分開的世界。他的歌詞本身已充滿畫面與意境，一句文字可以讓人想像出情景；而當這份創作感延伸到書法與水墨時，筆墨之間又彷彿保留着歌詞的節奏與情感。展出的《偏偏喜歡你》、《最愛》，以及取材自葉蒨文《阿信的故事》和林子祥《在水中央》的書法作品，讓熟悉的港樂記憶從聲音轉化為可以觀看的畫面。正如古人以「詩中有畫，畫中有詩」形容王維，鄭國江的作品也讓「詞、畫、歌」彼此交疊，在紙上產生另一種回響。

The most intriguing aspect of Cheng Kok Kong’s practice is that lyrics and ink painting do not exist as two separate worlds. His lyrics are already rich in imagery, capable of turning a few words into vivid scenes; when this sensibility moves into calligraphy and ink, the brushwork seems to retain the rhythm and feeling of song. Works such as 偏偏喜歡你 and 最愛, together with calligraphic pieces drawn from Sally Yeh’s The Story of Ah Shun and George Lam’s In the Middle of the Water, transform familiar Cantopop memories from something we hear into something we can see. Echoing the classical idea of “painting within poetry and poetry within painting”, Cheng’s practice allows lyrics, images and music to overlap and resonate on paper.

鄭國江的歌詞陪伴了香港幾代人成長，創作逾二千首作品。除了《風繼續吹》、《似水流年》、《分分鐘需要你》等經典流行曲，他亦曾為不少兒童及動畫歌曲填詞——例如由小太陽兒童合唱團主唱的《叮噹》，以及梅艷芳主唱的《IQ博士》粵語版主題曲。從流行金曲到童年動畫，鄭國江的文字早已悄悄融入香港人的集體記憶。

Cheng Kok Kong’s lyrics have accompanied generations of Hong Kong audiences, with more than 2,000 works to his name. Beyond Cantopop classics such as Wind Blows On, Years Flow Like Water and Need You Every Minute, he also wrote lyrics for familiar children’s and animation songs, including the Cantonese theme for Doraemon—then known in Hong Kong as Ding Dong—performed by the Little Sun Children’s Choir, and Dr. Slump, performed by Anita Mui. From Cantopop classics to childhood cartoons, his words have quietly become part of Hong Kong’s collective memory.
