Imagine a world where gravity is optional: houses twist mid-air, staircases spiral into the void, and people casually read amid floating furniture. Cinta Vidal fuses surreal dreamscapes with precise realism, inviting you to rotate your perspective and uncover how we all navigate the same space from wildly different angles.

Cinta Vidal

Cinta Vidal creates gravity-defying architectural worlds in acrylic paintings and murals, where everyday objects, people, and structures float, rotate, and intersect from multiple perspectives, blending surrealism with precise realism. Her clean aesthetic features muted warm colors, sharp geometry, and calm figures engaged in routine activities, evoking a contemplative mood that explores how individuals perceive reality differently yet coexist.

Born in 1982 in Barcelona, Vidal trained early in stage design at Castells Planas Workshop, mastering large-scale painting and lighting, before studying illustration at La Massana Art School. She transitioned from illustration to personal acrylic works on wood panels and public murals, exhibiting internationally with galleries like Thinkspace in Los Angeles and creating site-specific pieces in the US, Japan, China, and Spain.

Vidal begins with sketches to test floating compositions, then builds precise acrylic layers for crisp lines and tonal depth on panels or walls, drawing on her scenography skills for murals via grids or projections adapted to each site. Key recurring elements include fragmented houses, staircases, bookshelves, and domestic scenes that ground the impossible physics, symbolizing separate mental worlds within shared spaces.
