A Hong Kong-born artist with a razor-sharp wit, Pearl is a funny yet down-to-earth visual storyteller. She’s the creative force behind the instantly relatable comics that have you nodding in agreement, the poignant illustrations that capture a city’s mood, and the vibrant prints that make you stop and smile. Graduated from the University of the West of England, Pearl cut her teeth in the fast-paced world of news as a graphics editor for the South China Morning Post and honed her lively storytelling skills as a visualiser with Scriberia in London. Today, she’s a freelance illustrator whose client list is a global who’s-who: from Google and CNBC to Uniqlo and the Hong Kong Jockey Club.

She’s also the mind behind the zine “DLLM” (acronym for “diu lei lo mo”), exploring the versatile day-to-day applications of this common Cantonese profanity. With a kindness and sense of humor that shines through, Pearl brings passion and dedication to every project.
