今年秋天最受注目的藝術盛事，將是10月份首次登陸香港的WHATZ Art Curators Fair。這場藝術活動匯聚超過12個國家和地區，來自150多位新晉、中生代及獲獎藝術家的多元藝術作品，是一個讓新晉和知名藝術家交流合作的好機會，也讓公眾更深入地了解當代藝術的發展。

WHATZ Art Curators Fair is a dynamic platform bringing together curators, artists, and art lovers from around the globe. With a lineup of over 150 emerging, mid-career and award-winning artists from more than 12 countries and regions, the Fair highlights the evolving role of curators in shaping art narratives and offers a unique opportunity for both emerging and established talents to connect, collaborate, and engage with the public in Hong Kong’s vibrant art scene.

WHATZ Art Curators Fair於2024年10月18日至20日在香港JW萬豪酒店舉行，將酒店客房轉化成專屬的藝術空間，讓參觀者猶如置身於藝術家的藝術天地，在溫馨的氛圍中細賞藝術作品。屆時，30位本地及國際藝術家將親臨現場，與收藏家及藝術愛好者深入互動，分享他們的創作實踐及創作靈感。

WHATZ Art Curators Fair is set to make its debut in Hong Kong on October 18-20, 2024, at the JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong. The Fair will transform comfortable guest rooms into unique art spaces, echoing a visit to a personal space, viewing artworks in a cozy setting. 30 local and international artists will be present at the Fair to engage with collectors and art enthusiasts, and to share insight on their artistic practice and inspirations of work.

．黃文翰，香港紙雕藝術家，以文化傳承為創作核心，專注於學習傳統文化，並以現代設計美學的方式重新詮釋。色彩豐富、層次分明、構圖精練、印象深刻是其作品的特色。透過結合現代設計美學精髓，他手中的每一張紙都是能吸引你駐足欣賞的紙藝作品。(燕譽堂，房間809)

．Chihiro Taki (高城ちひろ)是一位日本藝術家，她的作品經常透過其夢境和個人經歷中汲取靈感，表達痛苦、苦難和救贖的主題。她相信夢境能揭示出隱藏於潛意識中的情感，並將夢境視為與藝術創作一樣，是她於生活中維持情緒穩定的重要部份。(房間802)

．簡耀宗是中國第一位連續票房破億的著名動畫電影導演，同時亦是一位當代藝術家。他的作品以敘事為主軸，配合油畫、壓克力等混合媒材，創作出融合中國傳統元素與現代創新試驗的作品。近年，他亦開始運用AI生成不同圖像，繼而進行合成和修改，為作品塑造特別的風格。(比爾斯創作室，房間903)

．侯忠穎是一位台灣藝術家，手在其作品中是人具體的象徵，他以手為創作媒介，量度、感知、隱喻、表達人與世界複雜並且千變萬化的關係。他從寫實繪畫出發，融合傳統工藝與當代藝術思維，探索變化多端的當代藝術表達。(房間912)

．英國藝術家Jeff Murray從對世界的探索中汲取靈感，運用他精緻的筆觸，將觀眾帶入他錯綜複雜的世界。每當觀眾凝望他的藝術作品時，都能發現新的驚喜與靈感。(房間923 )

．陳以書的作品以極簡素描風格著稱，透過線條創造出獨特的美學結構。其最新的《假山水》系列，通過反覆線條的堆疊、明暗色彩的漸變，展現了自然與人造、現實與幻像之間的張力。(MUZI ART，房間818)

．Madeleine Ekeblad是一位居於馬來西亞的著名澳洲藝術家。她自小接觸藝術、音樂和舞蹈，在長期的熏陶下，帶給她繪畫音樂的靈感。同時，她也是一位創作了不少出色作品的金屬線雕塑家。Ekeblad對音樂的熱情啟發她創作出充滿活力、動感和節奏元素的藝術作品。

．馮以力，來自香港的水墨與混合媒材藝術家，在他創作的過程中，他習慣從東方哲學的角度出發，探討人類意識的起源和感知事物的方法。當你走進他的房間，你將能感受他如何透過自己的作品，回應人類感官、身體、身分認同和歷史等當代議題。(房間921)

．Joe Wong is a paper art artist, who has taken cultural heritage as the core of his creation, focusing on absorbing traditional culture and reinterpreting it in line with the essence of modern design aesthetics. By combining the essence of modern design aesthetics, every piece of paper in his hands is a fascinating work of paper art. (Oi Ling Gallery, Room 809)

．Japanese artist Chihiro Taki often reflects themes of pain, suffering, and salvation, drawing inspiration from her dreams and personal experiences in her artworks. She believes that dreams reveal emotions hidden in the subconscious and they are as essential to her life as creating art to maintain emotional balance. (Room 802)

．William Kan is a famous film director and also a contemporary artist whose artwork is centered on storytelling. He likes using mixed media such as oil painting, acrylic, to create a combination of traditional Chinese elements as well as modern innovation and experimentation. In recent years, he has also begun to use AI to generate different images, and then synthesize and modify them to create a special style for his works. (Born to Entertain Studio, Room 903)

．Hou Chung-ying is a Taiwanese artist. Hands serve as a concrete and miniature symbol of humanity in his works. He uses hands as a creative medium to measure, perceive, metaphorize, and express the complex and varied relationships between people and the world. (Room 912)

．Jeff Murray takes inspiration from the exploration of the world and uses his fine pen work to bring the audience to his intricate worlds. With the continuous theme of perspective, it allows the viewers to understand how Murray sees the world. (Room 923)

．Chen I Shu‘s works are known for his minimalist sketch style, creating a unique aesthetic structure through the use of lines. His latest series, “Fake Landscape” explores the tension between nature and the artificial, reality and illusion, through the repeated layering of lines and the gradual shifts in light and shadow. ．Madeleine Ekeblad is a renowned Australian artist based in Malaysia. She grew up in the world of art, music and dance and this inspired her to paint music. She is also a wire sculptor who created stunning sculptures. Ekeblad’s passion for music makes her artworks full of elements of vibrant, movement and rhythm. (Room 925)

．Fung Yee Lick is an ink and mixed media artist. His artistic practice often starts from the perspective of oriental philosophy, exploring the origins of human consciousness and methods of perceiving things. He also seeks to apply his art practice in response to the contemporary issues of human senses, body, identity and history. (Room 921)

Background – WHATZ Art Curators Fair:
WHATZ Art Curators Fair 是由兩個在藝術與奢侈品領域中具有重要影響力的力量合作促成，其核心市場位於台灣及香港。WHATZ Art Co., Ltd，作為藝博會的主辦單位，於2020年創辦了其旗艦活動——WHATZ國際當代藝術博覽會，這是台北最大的酒店藝術博覽會之一。該博覽會在台北喜來登大飯店歡迎65位本地及國際展商。至今，博覽會已舉辦五屆，吸引超過58,000名收藏家和藝術愛好者，藝術銷售總額達431萬美元。WHATZ Art Fair在成功舉辦台北和新加坡的活動後，於2024年進軍香港，並與Art Curators Hub Limited攜手合作。Art Curators Hub是一家年輕而充滿熱情的當代藝術畫廊，致力為藝術家提供平台並推廣藝術。他們相信藝術的變革力量，並通過全年舉辦的活動和展覽，促進一個蓬勃發展的藝術社區，展現各種藝術實踐和媒介。

WHATZ Art Curators Fair is a collaboration between two important forces with art and luxury goods in their portfolios, their core markets are in Taiwan and Hong Kong. WHATZ Art Co., Ltd., the Fair Organizer, founded its flagship event, WHATZ International Contemporary Art Fair in 2020, one of the largest hotel art fairs in Taipei. It welcomes 65 local and international exhibitors at the Sheraton Grand Taipei Hotel. To date, they have welcomed over 58,000 collectors and art enthusiasts over 5 editions, with art sales volume at US$4.31 million. Following the successful events in Taipei and Singapore, WHATZ Art Fair expands into Hong Kong in 2024, in collaboration with Art Curators Hub Limited. 請留意特別展覽：「我非我」（策展人：廖康樾，房間820），Rosie Gibbens是一位居於倫敦的跨領域藝術家。她構思及創作不同的表演、影片和雕塑，將身體與日常物品結合在一起。Gibbens巧妙地將身體與物體結合在一起，探討和質疑未來人體會隨著科技進步而變得越來越「完善」的想法。

Not to miss out Special Exhibition “Un-Me”, curated by Lyau, Kang-Ywe, Room 820. Rosie Gibbens is a London-based interdisciplinary artist. She makes performances, videos and sculptures that combine bodies with everyday objects. Gibbens playfully blends bodies with objects to unpack and question the prospective future body as it becomes increasingly ‘optimized’ by technological augmentation.
