本次展覽「休班黃昏也會望望逃生路線」，由安全口畫廊聯合另類空間WURE AREA共同策劃，旨在回顧畫廊創立初心，探索更多創意可能。展覽在安全口畫廊展出十位年輕藝術家的新作：陳錦倫、陳潔婷、張子琪、高哼、葉偉靖、劉政熙、李昭民、梁凱雅、梁洛熙、黃慧心。請忘掉你對藝術展的所有預設 — 這不只是觀賞，而是一次跳脫框架的探險。

For this group exhibition, ‘Those off-duty gazes’, Gallery EXIT collaborates with WURE AREA, aiming to revisit the gallery’s founding vision and explore more creative possibilities. The exhibition at Exit Gallery showcases new works by ten young artists: HAN Kam Lun, Mae CHAN, CHEUNG Tsz Ki, GO Hung, Jeremy IP, Rico LAU Ching Hei, LEE Chiu Sun, LEUNG Hoi Nga Livy, Giraffe LEUNG Lok Hei and WONG Winsome Dumalagan. Please forget all your preconceptions about art exhibitions—this is not just viewing but an adventure beyond conventional boundaries.

藝術家的身份和觀察習慣已經融入日常生活中，他們會將日常生活中的大小事納入創作靈感，這些隨時可能成為作品動機和依據的靈感。如同無法⾃動更新的紙本地圖、難以⾃助的救⽣圈、只屬於雙⽅的接觸、儀式感滿滿的⾏為、安定過後的形態、似有若無的信使、承受欲望的產物、等待終結的⾁體、與⼀直⾶⾏的餘光偶遇、於社區流浪的觀察者等，這些難以分類的元素正是激發創作的關鍵。「休班黃昏也會望望逃生路線」作品將以一種充滿實驗精神的策展方式呈現，展現出空間的新用途。

Artists’ identities and observational habits have merged into their daily lives; they incorporate various daily experiences into their creative inspirations, which can become the motive and basis for their works at any time. Elements include outdated paper maps, lifebuoys that offer no help, contacts unique to both parties, actions full of ceremonial sense, forms after stabilization, elusive messengers, objects bearing desires, bodies awaiting their end, and encounters with residual light in perpetual motion. Observers wandering through the community are the crucial elements that stimulate creation. Artworks in ‘Those off-duty gazes’ will be presented in a curatorial manner full of experimental spirit, revealing new uses of space.

3 Highlights:

• 展覽以一個虛構的故事場景和人物設定為開端，十位（五組）藝術家的作品被並置展出，彼此以獨有的語言進行對話，從相似的視角為彼此開啟新的視窗。
• The exhibition starts with a fictional scenario and character setting, where the artworks of ten artists (five pairs) are juxtaposed and displayed. They converse in their unique languages and open new windows of perspective for each other. 

• 觀眾可以通過這些衍生自模型、繪畫、塑型、雕塑、描繪、記錄的作品，探索創作的起點及過程；同時，藝術家的身影、習慣、隱蔽的觀點和偏好也悄然成為作品的註腳。
• Audiences can explore the origins and processes of creation through works derived from models, paintings, moldings, sculptures, drawings, and recordings; meanwhile, the artists’ presences, habits, hidden viewpoints, and preferences subtly become footnotes to the works. 

• 透過這些細碎的信息，觀眾可以開放性的閱讀及⾯向，認識藝術家的⽣命或⾓⾊。
• Through these detailed pieces of information, viewers can engage in an open reading and facing, getting to know the lives or characters of the artists.

Background — Gallery EXIT and WURE AREA

安全⼝畫廊於2008年成⽴，是⼀個聚焦於推廣香港年輕藝術家，促成雙⽅⻑期合作的平台。安全⼝畫廊⼀直搜羅本地具潛質的藝術家，提供展⽰及交流的空間等資源，孕育香港未來的藝術家。

位於九⿓灣的藝術共享空間WURE AREA成⽴於2021年5⽉，以集合不同形式的探討及思緒聯想為主軸，促成創作者們連結的契機，擁抱離題視點的延伸及實踐，以微觀及側⾯切⼊作品。除了藝術實踐的展⽰外，亦舉辦導賞團、分享會、⼯作坊及聚餐等交流活動，連結各種觀看的⽅式。空間希望邀請觀眾以第⼀⾝遊歷藝術作品，隨感官牽引聯想，同時探索慣性以外的觀察模式，由此認識藝術家的故事。

Founded in 2008, Gallery EXIT is a platform dedicated to the promotion of Hong Kong young artists, where long-term collaborations are forged. Ever seeking out emerging local talents, Gallery EXIT provides them with exhibition and exchange opportunities, nurturing the future generation of Hong Kong artists.

Based in Kowloon Bay, WURE AREA is an artist-run space founded in May 2021 which welcomes decentralised encounters through artwork showcases and events by collective contribution, introducing arts-viewing as a medium practice to expand perspectives. WURE AREA embraces the discourse of association and sell-sensation, inviting visitors to embark on a personal journey in art.
