Why it matters:
生於荷蘭,在世界地圖上縱橫,走過歷史與藝術意義濃厚的地方,Frank最後決定移居香港。於他而言,歷史與現代在這裏交匯、碰撞,恰合他獨樹一幟的藝術風格,為他提供肥沃的土壤作養分,醞釀讓人意想不到的藝術作品。因此,他的個展「RRReality 世界巡迴展覽」將以他的創作基地——香港——為首站,於三月與我們見面,屆時定在藝術界備受矚目。

Born in the Netherlands and traversing the world map, passing through places rich in history and artistic significance, Frank ultimately decided to relocate to Hong Kong. For him, the convergence and collision of history and modernity here perfectly suit his unique artistic style, providing him with fertile ground as nourishment, incubating unexpected works of art. Therefore, his solo exhibition, “RRReality World Tour,” will kick off at his creative base—Hong Kong—meeting us in March, garnering significant attention in the art world at that time.

.Frank has collaborated with numerous world-renowned brands such as Dior, Gucci, Tod’s, Louboutin, and Creed. His digital commercial art is distinctive, having been exhibited in prestigious venues like the Gucci Garden in Florence and featured in major international magazines such as Wired, Vogue, Schön!, and Numéro, among others. His art is inseparable from commerce, yet simultaneously, his unique style blurs the boundaries of independent art. He skillfully utilizes photography, collage, and motion imagery to express his boundless vision and pursuit of freedom, transcending commercial limitations. His work does not ignore realities such as consumerism; even in commercial collaborations, he criticizes the fleeting nature of materialism and the supremacy of consumerism in the luxury fashion industry. As a result, his pieces not only earn recognition from high-end brands but also attract the attention of global audiences.

Escher, European comic artists like Moebius, skateboarding culture, contemporary industrial design, and fashion prints, allowing his work to transcend the boundaries between mainstream and subcultures, establishing a unique style of his own. .Given the unprecedented success of the exhibition in 2023, Frank will embark on a world tour. The “RRReality World Tour Exhibition” will kick off during the 2024 art season in Hong Kong. Its core concept aims to connect with local communities by collaborating with local partners, ensuring that each stop of the tour is unique and vibrant, fostering thought-provoking dialogues between the audience and Frank’s art. This innovative exhibition will lead viewers to experience the fusion of non-traditional elements with traditional art, guiding them into a dynamic and unpredictable world, where art and life intersect to spark colorful and dazzling sparks.

Hailing from the Netherlands and educated at the prestigious Design Academy Eindhoven, Frank’s career has spanned three continents over the last decade. His journey through various creative domains, including roles as an art director in fashion, a creative director in advertising, and a music video director, has enriched his approach to art. Influenced by the likes of M.C. Escher, European comic book artists such as Moebius, skateboard culture, contemporary industrial design, and graphic fashion prints, Frank crafts visuals that cross cultural and subcultural boundaries with ease.
