SHOUT Art Hub and Gallery由即⽇⾄10⽉3⽇在希慎廣場舉辦由國際知名街頭藝術家WRDSMTH創作的稀有原創作品《My Palette 2022》。WRDSMTH⾃2013年起活躍於街頭藝術界，將他對寫作和街頭藝術的熱情聯繫在⼀起。作為⼀位出版作家、編劇和廣告⽂案撰寫家，⽂字已成為他的第⼆天性，促使他創作不可磨滅的詞組，以藝術性形式展現於⼾外壁畫牆、建築物的側⾯、電線桿或廣告牌。

SHOUT Art Hub and Gallery is delighted to announce the exhibition My Palette 2022, a rare collection of originals by internationally renowned street artist WRDSMTH, runs from today to 3 October 2022, at Hysan Place. Active in the street art community since 2013, WRDSMTH ties together his passions for writing and street art – formerly a published author, screenwriter and advertising copywriter, it has become his second nature with crafting indelible phrases, albeit covering outdoor mural walls, side of buildings, telephone poles or billboards.

⽣活在數碼化時代，⼤家已適應鍵盤上打字的便利。⽤老式的筆和紙優雅地給每個字上墨，這種簡單地讓情緒流動的習慣已經慢慢瓦解，更不⽤說老式打字機已成為歷史。為了好好保存這已沒落的產物，WRDSMTH將打字機成為他的商標，使⽤模板和⼩麥粘貼的獨特組合來重現從打字機打出⼀⾴富意義的⽂字。他以⽂字為基礎的⼯藝，被稱為“WRDs”，從洛杉磯到紐約、橫濱、新⻄蘭、倫敦和巴黎，激發起很多⼈的共鳴，為他在世界各地留下了印記。

Living in the current digitalized era, it is tempting to resort to the convenience of typing on a keyboard. The simplicity with using old-fashioned pen and paper to gracefully ink each letter and letting our emotions flow has slowly disintegrated, let alone vintage typewriters have become obsolete. To keep this lost symbol intact, the typewriter has become WRDSMTH’s trademark, using a unique combination of stenciling and wheat-pasting to recreate the image of a sheet of inspirational texts coming out of a typewriter. His word-based craftsmanship, referred to as ‘WRDs’, has inspired and resonated with a lot of people. From Los Angeles to New York, Yokohama, New Zealand, London and Paris, he has made a mark all over the world.

．《My Palette 2022》所展出的獨特模板和噴漆作品，選⽤了帆布、麻布和再⽣⽊材的不同材料，作品編號從A到Z。在這系列中，SHOUT Art Hub & Gallery特別聚焦幾件作品：《my palette》、《create》、《the only lie》、與Ami Imaginaire合作的《alice》、和與紐約的Phoebe合作的《text》。

．《my palette》是⼀件將WRDSMTH封裝為作家的作品，⽤打字機字體噴塗了26個字⺟，並創意地印上了紅⾊⼤寫的H和K，標示它的位置。寫下《create》和《the only lie》，讓觀眾沉浸在內⼼的感覺和真實的⾃我之中。

．The exhibition My Palette 2022 comprises unique works of stencil and spray paint on different materials on canvas, linen and reclaimed wood, numbered through A to Z. Amongst the collection, several pieces that are particularly highlighted for SHOUT Art Hub and Gallery include my palette, create, the only lie, alice (a collab with Ami Imaginaire), and text (a collab with Phoebe In New York).

．Foremost, my palette, is a piece that encapsulates WRDSMTH as a writer with the twenty-six alphabets spray-painted with typewriter typeface, and is creatively stamped with red uppercase H & K, signifying its location. Create and the only lie is penned to allow the audience to embrace an inner feeling and be immersed with the true selves.

．Working outside of his original prose, WRDSMTH collaborates with two other street artists, Ami Imaginaire and Phoebe In New York, to produce alice and text respectively. Alice is a canvas piece that recreates the original painting that Ami Imaginaire painted of colourful whimsical characters on the wall of Paris. While text is the first collaboration to date between WRDSMTH and Phoebe In New York on canvas – the round-face paper doll-like character is the alter ego of the artist to reveal what she wouldn’t normally portray.

WRDSMTH is an LA and UK based street artist who aspires to inspire others on a daily basis with colorful and well-chosen words crafted into indelible thoughts and phrases that he paints/pastes onto walls around the world. He is a published author, screenwriter, former advertising copywriter, and an internationally known street artist. Born and raised in the Midwest of the US, he relocated to LA and started doing time in Hollywood, chasing the dream like countless others. Past and present worlds merged when he came up with the concept for WRDSMTH — a unique combination of stenciling and wheat-pasting — and began painting walls in Los Angeles with indelible thoughts and phrases.
