生於香港的大理石雕塑家薩璨如女士與她的法籍前室内設計師伴侶尼古拉．
貝杜先生，將於 2019 年 8 月 27 日在中環交易廣塲中央大廳舉行作品展，展
出 28 件雕塑作品，訴説他們從自然素材演化成雕塑藝術的創作之旅。

Hongkong Land will launch A Journey from Nature to Sculpture on 27th August featuring transformative works by Hong Kong born-sculptor Cynthia Sah and French-born former interior architect Nicolas Bertoux. During the special exhibition, 28 marble works will be presented to illustrate the journey of transforming marble and other unbending gifts of nature into art forms.

一直熱愛創作的薩女士，在台灣和日本長大，吸收東方的藝術風格。薩女士
後來負笈美國攻讀藝術，在雕塑老師的熏陶下對投入雕塑有所感悟，繼而遷
往意大利，一邊向雕塑大師學習，一邊發展她的雕塑創作之路。而貝杜先生
與薩女士便是在這充滿濃厚雕塑藝術氛圍的地方邂逅，並開始攜手合作。

When spending her childhood in Taiwan and Japan, Cynthia was greatly influenced by Oriental art. She then pursued her artists’ studies in New York, where she was inspired to become a sculptor. In order to carry on with her career in sculpture art, Cynthia then moved permanently to Italy to learn from master sculptors, where she also met her life-time partner Nicolas Bertoux.

這對生活上和創作路上的夥伴自 1995 年起，在意大利開始共同創作，延續
大理石工藝。擁有豐富的建築設計和公共藝術創作經驗的貝杜先生，與擅長
製作流動優雅雕塑作品的薩女士，多年來創作出多件能融入城市環境中的雕
塑作品，體現了西方建築幾何圖案和東方均衡哲學的相互融合，亦因而聞名。

The passionate couple has been collaborating in Italy since 1995. Cynthia is specialised in creating fluid and elegant works while Nicolas is experienced at architectural design and public art creation. Over the past years, the two artists have jointly created numerous monumental and public artworks that not only integrate seamlessly into modern urban spaces, but also epitomise a marriage between the geometric patterns of Western architecture and the Oriental style of equilibrium.
