法國五月藝術節將在主要合作伙伴香港賽馬會慈善信託基金的支持下，隆重呈獻世界級展覽《二十世紀藝術的傳奇：妮基‧聖法爾》，為整個藝術節揭開序幕。

第27屆法國五月將帶領香港觀眾展開一趟穿梭時間、空間，認識東方至西方的藝術文化「旅程」。這次藝術節的重點展覽將帶來約100件妮基‧聖法爾的作品，在沙田大會堂廣場及展覽廳展出，部分作品將在公共空間形成一道引人注目的長廊，連接至室內的展覽，令觀眾參與一次藝術「旅程」，與今年藝術節的主題呼應。在5月5日至6月2日展覽期間，妮基‧聖法爾的雕塑和畫作，將令公眾沉醉其中。
Echoing “voyage”, the theme of 27th edition of the Festival to transport audience through time and space, from the East to the West, the highlight exhibition will bring around a hundred monumental artworks of Niki de Saint Phalle to the plaza and exhibition gallery of Sha Tin Town Hall. An eye-catching promenade will lead audience to the indoor exhibition, as well as an artistic “voyage”. Public will have an immersive encounter with Niki’s sculptures and paintings from 5th May to 2nd June.
妮基・聖法爾（1930 – 2002），雕塑家、畫家及電影製作人，是二十世紀最著名的女性及女權主義的法裔美籍藝術家。妮基沒有受過正式藝術訓練，但曾與許多當代藝術家緊密合作，如賈斯培·瓊斯、羅伯特．勞森伯格、拉里．里弗斯、作曲家約翰．凱奇、建築師馬里奧．博塔等。她還與瑞士藝術家尚．丁格利（第二任丈夫）一起合作，終其一生創作。
Niki de Saint Phalle (1930 – 2002) was a sculptor, painter, and filmmaker. The French-born, American-raised artist is one of the most significant female and feminist artists of the 20th century. She had no formal training in art, but associated freely with many other contemporary artists, such as Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg, Larry Rivers, composer John Cage, and architect Mario Botta, and many more. She also worked with Swiss artist Jean Tinguely, her second husband. She continued to create prolifically until the end of her life.
