林天行畫蓮，已畫出了一段香港的蓮花傳奇。是次「蓮說」規模大型，展出其近年來30幅筆墨揮灑蓮花之作，創作年期橫跨2016年至2018年。「蓮說」更展現了林天行畫蓮逾二十載，對蓮花各種畫法的探索。色彩方面，林天行亦作出重大突破，以熱情鮮艷之色營造強烈視覺衝擊。於尺幅上，除固有的橫幅之作，林天行加入豎幅作品，使傳統的蓮花，更添現代韻味。
The “Love of Lotus” is of an unprecedented large scale exhibition that not only showcases a continuation of Lam Tian Xing’s renowned Lotus series, but also the Water Lilies series that presents an extended development in Lam’s oeurve. The artist has achieved a remarkable breakthrough in terms of the use of colours; he has used a lot of strong tones and vibrant colours in his works, as a result created a much stronger visual impact in contrary to the monochromatic black and white often seen in the traditional Chinese paintings.
