In the first half of 2018, Sotheby’s Asia aggregate auction sales have reached HK$3.8 billion, and broken 21 world auction records. Chinese Works of Art and Modern & Contemporary Art are the most popular categories among all the sales, as they generated approximately HK$1.14 billion and HK$1.34 billion auction revenue respectively. Sotheby’s Hong Kong has also had  2 works sold over HK$200 million, which are two sets of Highly Important, Exceedingly Rare and Sumptuously Brocaded Leporello Albums of Illuminated Wisdom Sutra, and a Superbly Enamelled, Fine and Exceedingly Rare PinkGround Falangcai Bowl.
