Summer is a season of sunshine and holidays. But beneath this radiance, artists see a deeper reality.
10 Chancery Lane Gallery presents “HEATWAVE,” bringing together twenty artists across painting, photography, sculpture, silkscreen, and textiles to capture the vibrant energy of summer — while reminding us that climate change has never been far away. The exhibition invites us to look beyond our screens and reconnect with the fragile relationship between humanity and nature.
WHY IT MATTERS
“HEATWAVE” is curated by 10 Chancery Lane Gallery, running from 6 August to 3 September 2026. The exhibition celebrates the restorative energy of summer while confronting the urgent realities of climate change. Through the works of twenty artists, it asks: as temperatures rise, what do we lose?

Gu Benchi: The Quiet Universe of Thread and Light
Gu Benchi‘s intricate geometric weavings, made from high-strength polyester yarn and stainless steel nails, embody balance, symmetry, and light. Rooted in Buddhist practice, his works reflect a cyclical universe — “emanations from the tranquil inner self, like a calm and brilliant sea bathed in the morning sun.”

Pan Jian: The Poetry of Light and Memory
Pan Jian‘s works blur the line between the figurative and abstract. Inspired by Tang and Song poetry and classical painting, he presents them through a contemporary Western vocabulary. Light is his central subject — for him, light, shadow, and air form the world. Painting them is painting existence itself.

Louis Waldon:安迪·沃荷的絲印傳承 | Louis Waldon: A Silkscreen Legacy from Andy Warhol’s Factory
Louis Waldon
Louis Waldon was a member of Andy Warhol’s Factory, appearing in his films and learning silkscreen techniques there. He later acquired original screens and, with the Warhol Foundation’s permission, continued producing prints using the same methods — considered the closest thing to an original Warhol available today. Each print bears the Factory stamp and the artist’s signature.
