「願你於此」喚起夏日的迷人魅力：炙熱、薄霧以及遠方的無限承諾。展覽匯聚戰後及當代藝術領軍者之作，通過旅行圖像、海洋意景和逃離季節的儀式爲主題，透過渴望、清醒或反思的藝術視角，展開多重探討。展覽探討人類痕跡與消費方式之間的關聯 —— 明信片、廣告、快照，以及那些被修飾過的記憶如何構建幻想。當邊境重啓而位移感知已然重構的當下，展覽詰問着遠行的意義 —— 以及我們真正期冀抵達的彼岸。

Wish You Were Here evokes the intoxicating pull of summer: the heat, the haze, and the promise of escape. Featuring works by leading postwar and contemporary artists, the exhibition explores the iconography of travel, the sea, and the rituals of seasonal escape, interrogated with varying degrees of meditation, longing, and nostalgia. It is a reflection on how we construct and consume paradise — through postcards, advertisements, snapshots, and stylised memories. In a time when borders have reopened but our sense of movement remains changed, this exhibition asks what it means to go somewhere — and what we hope to find when we get there.

重點一覽 Highlights

1️⃣ 米格爾·巴塞洛的《博伊之夜》（2021）將觀者引入一片深邃冥想的藍色世界。顏料厚重的畫布喚起地中海的律動與質感，孤舟在翻騰的顏料海面上漂浮。作品創作於疫情期間西班牙馬略卡島的相對隔絕中，映照出凝滯與復甦交織的矛盾時刻 —— 不見泳者的海洋，沒有遊人的海岸線。

Miquel Barceló’s Bot Buit (2021) plunges viewers into a dense, meditative blue. The richly impastoed canvas evokes the motion and materiality of the Mediterranean, where solitary boats drift on pigment-churned waters. Painted in the relative seclusion of Mallorca during the pandemic, the works reflect a paradoxical moment of stillness and rejuvenation — an ocean without swimmers, a coastline without tourists.

2️⃣ 曾廣智的《法國巴黎（聖心堂）》（1983）呈現了一場另類旅程。身着標誌性中山裝與反光墨鏡，他以冷面權威姿態介入遊客場景。既是外交官又是僞裝者，戲仿觀光行爲的同時批判外來者的異域化凝視。其影像作品既頑皮又銳利，巧妙牽引身份、表演與場域之間的張力。

Tseng Kwong Chi’s Paris, France (Sacre Coeur) (1983) stages a different kind of journey. Wearing his signature Mao suit and mirrored sunglasses, Tseng inserts himself into tourist settings with deadpan authority. At once diplomat and imposter, he parodies the ritual of sightseeing while critiquing the exoticisation of the outsider. His images are both playful and sharp, teasing out tensions between identity, performance, and place.

The relationship between memory, travel, and image is pushed further in Vik Muniz’s Hula Dance (Postcards from Nowhere) (2014). The work, assembled from hundreds of torn postcards, reconstructs the quintessential tropical fantasy: a hula dancer in mid-motion. Muniz’s practice underscores how destinations are often consumed as representations first, places second — flattened into airmail clichés, then recollected as fragmented souvenirs.

Together, the works in Wish You Were Here map out a topography of longing, spectacle, and escape. Whether through paint, photography, or collage, each artist probes the fantasies we construct around travel and paradise.

策展人夏傑是一位常駐紐約的藝術顧問及獨立學者，在戰後及當代藝術市場領域擁有逾 15 年的專業經驗。其職業生涯始於紐約，曾在多家國際知名拍賣行與畫廊擔任重要職務，並與全球藝術生態系統各層面建立了深厚而持久的合作關繫。

Curator Jie Xia is a New York-based art advisor and independent scholar with over 15 years of expertise in the post-war and contemporary art market. Jie began her career in New York, holding key positions at leading international auction houses and galleries, where she developed lasting relationships across the global art ecosystem.

布朗畫廊是一家國際領先的畫廊，專注於戰後及當代藝術，在倫敦、香港和紐約均設有展廳。2009 年，布朗畫廊通過在香港開設畫廊擴大了其全球影響力，成爲在該市崛起爲全球藝術舞臺重要中心之際，首批立足的大型國際畫廊。

Ben Brown Fine Arts is a leading international gallery specialising in post-war and contemporary art, with locations in London, Hong Kong, and New York.
