Hong Kong Maritime Museum 香港海事博物館隆重舉辦全新《花旗飄洋──1784至1900年遠航來華的美國商人》展覽，展覽分為「夢想東方」、「口岸通商」、「火船萬里」、「居家蒐藏」及「異鄉生活」五部分。展品選自香港海事博物館、紐約大都會藝術博物館、溫特圖爾博物館、費城藝術博物館、迪美博物館、費城獨立海港博物館、哈佛商學院貝克圖書館、凱爾頓基金會、太古集團香港歷史檔案服務部、滙豐歷史檔案部，以及本地和美國藏家的重要珍藏。通過展出珍貴的貿易商品、外銷工藝品、航海儀器、檔案文獻等，呈現中美兩國在海上貿易、商業經濟、航海技術、社會文化方面的互惠互利，並為公眾提供一個回顧歷史的平台。

The DRAGON AND THE EAGLE: American Traders in China, A Century of Trade from 1784 to 1900 exhibition organised by the Hong Kong Maritime Museum and presented by Cathay Pacific 國泰航空, introduces visitors to the captivating history of Sino–American trade from 1784 to 1900, unveiling the early foundations of financial and cultural exchange between China (the dragon) and the United States (the eagle). The people and trade goods showcased in the exhibition continue to have a major impact on art, society and our modern lifestyle.
