香港藝術家把對玩具的熱愛帶到倫敦！
Hong Kong artist brings his passion for toys to London!
《Oh…My Toy!》是倫敦都爹利會館最近的展覽，展期由2018年10月1日起至2019年4月14日，由香港資深藝評家與策展人 William Zhao 策劃。成長在香港「玩具時代」（70年代）的Michael Lau，即是香港的「Figure教父」，童年時已對玩具非常著迷，長大後更成為玩具收藏家。
而作為「Designer Toy」的領軍人物，他更在《Oh…My Toy!》展出首次曝光的委約作品，包括一件大型雕塑、四件小型雕塑及十二幅繪畫作品，創作靈感來自倫敦會館所在地——聖湯瑪士教堂(St. Thomas Church)的歷史地理背景。是次展覽將透過藝術家機智幽默的獨有視角，探討大眾文化中藝術﹑玩具與宗教之間的共同概念。
‘Oh… My Toy!’ is Duddell’s London 倫敦都爹利會館 newest exhibition from 1 Oct 2018 to 14 April 2019, curated by Hong Kong’s experienced art critic and curator, William Zhao. Having grown up during Hong Kong’s ‘Toy Era’ in the 70s, Michael Lau, Hong Kong’s ‘figure master’, was mesmerized by toys as a kid, and has gone on to become a toy collector. In this exhibition, as the ‘Godfather of Designer Toys’, he showcases his artworks, including a large sculpture, four little sculptures and twelve drawings, all inspired by the historic geographical background of former St. Thomas Church, where Duddell’s London is currently located. Through the artist’s witty and humorous vision, this exhibition explores the common concept amongst art, toys and religion in mass culture.
