紋身，並非只得「叛逆」一種意義、一套理解，它代表的是紋身師或紋身者的故事及信念，擁有無限的力量和魅力。K11 於今夏呈獻 “Fashion Fusion: Tattoo X Threads” 時裝紋藝展覽，以時裝聯乘紋身藝術，將紋身藝術搬上舞台，以一場紋身時裝秀打破大眾對紋身的保守理解，展示這兩種流行文化當中的時尚美學。
K11邀請10位國際知名的紋身大師展出畫作，包括Gabe Shum、香港紋身師 Akai Wong、Jun Ngai、Keno Lee，北京的 老道（趙斌）、韓國的Sajin、日本的 Sousyu Hayashi (林相秀) 、英國的Bez、西班牙 的 Marjung Lama（Maria）及波蘭的DAVEE BLOWS，10位紋身大師的畫作主題緊扣生活各層次，以善惡、宗教、電影、自由及個人經歷等為題，以畫表達他們對藝術文化的理解和追求。展覽亦邀請9位來自英國學府 Central Saint Martins
的時裝設計系學生以10位大師級的作品及風格為靈感基礎，創作各具特色的時裝服飾，以藝術回應各位紋身大師的意念並向他們致敬。
展覽設有不同的主題區和互動展品如動態影片展示紋身畫作的上色過程和紋身大師的創作故事，更設有各工作坊及打卡熱點讓大眾享受設計樂趣，打造專屬的T 恤或環保袋等，以一系列夏日活動邀請大眾投入紋身與時裝的藝術世界。
Tattoo, it means more than a word, ‘rebel’ and it should not be limited to one kind of interpretation. Tattoos could symbolize the story and belief of the tattoo artists or people with tattoos, which embed infinite power and glamour. This summer, K11 proudly presents “Fashion Fusion: Tattoo x Threads” exhibition to put the art of tattoo under the spotlight, to subvert the conventional understanding of tattoos and to explore the art of beauty in tattoos and fashion by making an amazing crossover.
K11 invites ten tattoos maestros, including Gabe Shum, local tattoo artist Akai Wong, Jun Ngai and Keno Lee; Lao Dao (Beijing), Sajin (South Korea), Sousyu Hayashi (Japan), Bez (UK), Maria Marjung Lama (Spain) and Davee Blows (Poland). Their artworks explore different aspects of life and culture, covering from morality, religion, movies to freedom and personal experience, aiming to express their perspectives and pursuits of art. Meanwhile, the exhibition features the fashion design artworks of 9 students from Central Saint Martins, whose fashion designs are inspired by the style or artworks of the ten tattoos maestros, paying a tribute to the tattoo masters.
“Fashion Fusion: Tattoo X Threads” exhibition offers the public with an opportunity of enjoying DIY tattoo art experience through different workshops, for example, the visitors can customize their own tattoo tee or tote bags in the workshop. The exhibition also manifests the art world of tattoo artists to the public through several interactive installations.
