白石畫廊香港呈獻日本藝術家豬熊克芳的個人展覽〈宇宙觀的地球〉，展出他一系列丙烯及粉彩作品。豬熊克芳的藝術與大自然關係密切，透過他標誌的群青藍色引起觀眾對宇宙的各種聯想。
豬熊克芳作品的顏色都與水、空氣和土地相關，帶有一種寧靜、靈性的感覺，並能呈現地球深度。藍色是豬熊最常使用的顏色，因它具有最強的穿透力，在空氣中散射，使天空和海洋都是藍色的。豬熊認為，藍色透過水和空氣連繫著人們的記憶。在90年代開始，豬熊以區間和矩形表達顏色間的陰影，從而拋棄所有具象的枷鎖，將自己從約束中釋出。他希望他的作品能觸動觀眾的情感記憶。
雖藍色在豬熊的作品佔壓倒性位置，但當觀眾從不同角度欣賞，會看見細小的變化。在他油彩作品中，豬熊會用不同的顏色作底層，再刷掉部分顏料，以突顯藍色的深度。他亦以咖啡渣，做出隨意和凹凸的質感，利用光的反射，營造更深層次的顏色。另外，在粉彩作品中，豬熊會把粉彩磨漿，以手作畫，再用砂紙磨走部分顏色，形成粗糙的紋理。
Whitestone Gallery Hong Kong present “Cosmic View of Earth”, a solo exhibition by Katsuyoshi Inokuma. The exhibition will showcase a series of Inokuma’s acrylic and pastel paintings. Inokuma’s artistic approach is firmly rooted in nature. His ultramarine blue inspires a variety of resonance with universe in viewers.
All the colours Inokuma used in his painting are related to air, water and land, which create an atmosphere of tranquillity and spirituality, it can stimulate feelings of deep earth. Blue is his most favourite colour to use, as he believes it has the greatest power to breakthrough, it resolves in the air and makes the sea and sky blue. Blue also touches people’s memories by connecting these two elements of the earth. In 1990, Inokuma embarked on the present colour phase style structured by partitions and rectangles, he sees the discarding of figurative representation as a release from binding. He hopes that his paintings can stir the viewers’ deepest emotional memory.
Inokuma’s ultramarine blue reigns supreme among his acrylic paintings, looking closely one will find delicate variation. In order to bring out the desired depth in the blue, Inokuma manipulates foundation layers of multiple colors and erases some of the paint after that. Inokuma also mixes coffee grounds to create a random, uneven texture when light is reflected on it, an even more complex color surface is produced. Inokuma grinds pastel up in a mortar to create his pastel works, he then paints with his hands and erases using sandpaper, creating a rough texture in the material.
