PMQ 元創方呈獻的「漢字展 Hanzi Exhibition」展示了過去20年的極具影響力的漢字創作作品，反映新舊時代交織下漢字的演變過程，集合亞洲各地著名及新晉設計師，展出超過300件漢字作品。展覽主題是要揭示不同年齡層、不同地區的設計師對漢字的情感、對漢字設計的看法。

「漢字展」的兩個亮點分別是新、舊時代下的漢字演繹手法。新一代設計師以創新手法如動態數碼影像、塗鴉、方塊堆砌等演繹漢字在數碼時代的變化，再結合表情符號、輸入法等創作出具時代感、生活化的漢字。經驗豐富的設計師則著重漢字歷程變化，融合傳統元素及技巧如水墨、手繪等創作出詩情畫意般作品。「漢字展」展出不同時代背景下，漢字變化多端的表達手法和意義，令觀眾在字型結構的限制外，對漢字引伸出新聯想、新觀點。

The Hanzi Exhibition presented by PMQ showcases over 300 pieces of influential Hanzi artworks in the past 20 years, which reflects the Hanzi evolution under the new era. The exhibition features over a hundred of renowned and new designers from the Asian cities and countries. The main theme of this exhibition is to explore the sentiments, perspective instilled and projected by the designers from different ages, regions in Hanzi artworks.

The highlight in Hanzi Exhibition is the difference of cultural presentations between new and old generations. The new generation of designers attempt to use innovative and multi-media approaches to present Hanzi, including emoticon and input method editor (IME), which create a sense of the present time and down-to-earth characteristic. Meanwhile, the old generation of designers prefer to present the transformation of Hanzi through traditional approaches like Chinese ink and free-hand painting. All in all, the Hanzi Exhibition displays the versatile applications and meanings of Hanzi under different generations, which invites the public to think outside the box, to think beyond the design and structures of Hanzi for new imagination and perspective.
