香港富有許多集合中、西建築特色和風格的建築物，見證了香港百年變遷。在這些建築物當中，不少都採用現代主義風格，尤其是戰後建築。除了聚集在城市心臟地帶的建築，例如中環大會堂、郵政總局、美利大廈，現代主義建築實際上散布在香港的不同地區。雖然現代主義在香港扮演著重要角色，但因為其奉行簡約和單調的建築特色，沒有冠冕堂皇的裝飾，亦沒有得到大眾足夠的關注。相比起其他更為華美、摩登的建築，香港現代主義建築實際上更富有歷史、藝術及文化價值，值得大眾仔細研究和重視。隨著香港的變遷，這些不起眼的城市建築將難逃被時代巨輪遺忘、取替的命運。
為了能夠讓大眾更加瞭解本地的現代主義建築，同時紀錄下這些建築物，是次工作坊不但會帶領參加者徒步遊覽中環—帶的現代主義建築，具多年建築及商業攝影經驗的專業攝影師莫遠輝也會親自教授建築攝影的要訣，讓你能用相機捕捉城市光影，用鏡頭觀察現代主義建築的獨特美。

Hong Kong has many buildings with Chinese and Western architectural features and styles, which witness the centuries of change in Hong Kong. Among these buildings, many adopt the modernist style, especially post-war architecture. In addition to the buildings gathered in the heart of the city, such as the Central Hall, the General Post Office and the Merry Tower, modernist buildings are actually scattered in different parts of Hong Kong. Although modernism plays an important role in Hong Kong, it has not received enough attention because of its simplicity and monotony in architecture. Compared with other more beautiful and modern buildings, Hong Kong’s modernist architecture is actually more rich in historical, artistic and cultural values, which deserves careful study and attention by the public. With the change of Hong Kong, these insignificant urban buildings will inevitably be forgotten and replaced by the great ships of the times.
In order to let the public know more about the local modernist architecture and record these buildings, this workshop will not only lead participants to walk around the Central-Belt modernist architecture but also teach you the key of architectural photography by Professional Photographer Mr. Mok who has many years of experience in architecture and commercial photography. Use the camera to capture the city light and shadow, and use the lens to observe the unique beauty of modernist architecture.
