由葡萄牙藝術家亞歷山大·法圖，又名 Vhils 以及 Pauline Foessel 共同策展的「Alter Ego」主題系列展覽將在澳門揭幕，作為中國與葡語國家藝術年展的亮點項目，27位藝術家將於該主題下的6個展覽中呈獻最新創作，亦將同時呈獻一件公共藝術作品，展覽日期為2018年7月8日 – 2018年9月9日。
第一個展覽「The Self」探索自我意識，及其於我們與周遭互動的能力中所扮演的角色。第二個展覽「The Other」展現我們的存在需要其他人的存在，以及這會如何影響我們觀察和感知自己的方式。第三部分「From Language to Travel」側重於溝通和沉浸式體驗，探討能相互理解的語言形式如何讓我們建立關係。第四部分「Culture Clash」圍繞錯誤交流，以及由不同文化背景和經驗造成的溝通障礙。第五個展覽「Globalisation」拓寬分析範圍，研究人與更大型的實體之間的互動概念，以及在日益緊密聯繫的世界中所發生的互換。系列展覽的最後部分，恰如其分命名為「Alter Ego」，以結束這一旅程，透過發人深思的作品達致共同的理解——雖然我們看起來各有不同，但我們也都基本相同。
Curated by Portuguese artist Alexandre Farto aka Vhils and Pauline Foessel, the new works from 27 artists and a collaborative public art installation are shown across six individual exhibitions from 20 June 2018 to 8 July 2018, all of which are inspired by and explore the central theme of Alter Ego, which is the highlight in the Annual Arts Exhibition between China and the Portuguese-speaking countries.
The first exhibition, The Self, begins with an exploration of self-awareness and its role in our ability to interact with what surrounds us. The second exhibition, The Other, meanders into the idea of how we need the other in order to exist and how this impacts the way we view and perceive ourselves. The third part of this sequence, From Language to Travel, focuses on communication and immersive experiences, exploring how mutually understood forms of language allow us to establish relationships. The fourth part, Culture Clash, revolves around the contrast of miscommunication and the barriers that are created by different cultural backgrounds and experiences. The fifth exhibition, Globalisation, broadens the spectrum of analysis, looking into the concept of interaction between people and larger entities and the interchanges that occur in an increasingly connected world. The final part of the sequence, appropriately named Alter Ego, concludes the process with a thought-provoking incursion into the understanding that while we are all seemingly different, we are also all fundamentally the same.
